WordPress vs Tumblr

I’ve given my WordPress blog a miss for a while now simply because I don’t blog a lot at the computer but rather on the go.

Given the circumstances I’ve decided to go with Tumblr as my blogging platform for the moment as the iphone Tumblr app is quicker to use and can Link, Quote and picture posts easier than that WordPress app.

Similarly Instapaper has tumblr sharing features which makes sharing what I’ve just read a real cinch. WordPress lacks this sort of features.

This doesn’t signify my permanent departure from WordPress though. I’m sure the people there are working hard to make WordPress integration into 3rd party apps. It just isn’t there yet.

For the moment I’ll keep posting on Tumblr until the tide turns again.
