Why I Left iCloud Reminders for Todoist – MacStories:

Federico Viticci of Macstories:

Launched in early 2007 by Amir Salihefendic, Todoist is a cross-platform task manager with over 3 million users. It has apps for iOS, Android, OS X, Windows, Chrome, and the web; it met all my requirements for what a scalable todo system should be; and, they have a freemium business model with advanced options unlocked with an annual subscription. It wasn’t the kind of todo app that is often recommended by people I follow, but its feature set seemed exactly like the kind of service I was looking for.

Todoist is a fantastic multi platform app that seems to get better the longer you use it. And it’s a glowing endorsement to be an integral part of Federico’s workflow because if anyone knows apps it’s him.

I’m actually surprised that apps like Omnifocus and Things are more well known than Todoist amongst the bloggers that I follow because it really is a very good app and platform for getting things done.

I always leave the webapp open on my browser even at work so that I can quickly input new things to do. I also paid the subscription for the pro version and consider it one of the smartest purchases I’ve made.
