The X in Xmas literally means Christ. Here’s the history behind it. – Vox:

It never really bothered me whenever people said X’mas instead of Christmas but I have heard some people say that this is just another way to erase ‘Christ’ from Christmas.

It makes me glad knowing that this isn’t the case from a historical point of view.
